Compare with and without GC

I just thought of something - I should not waste any more time trying to fix the memory leaks in DSTM until I get the GC version of DSTM working. After doing that, I should compare the performance of the GC version with the current leaky version.

If GC performs better than the current version, then fixing the memory leaks will definitely NOT improve performance, thus would be a moot point.
